25th August Wednesday 2010
Sa Bula Vi Naka everyone. Today’s the 25th August Wednesday 2010. Today’s weather was fine but cold.
Today I am going to talk to you about more cyberbulling. Tonight I watched a video, it was a pretty sad video I even showed my mother. This video was about a girl who was teased by her friend and other children.
What happen was one day a girl name Emma she was talking to her friend in the school suddenly a boy hit the ball in her face, Emma started crying because she was really sad. But instead of saying sorry the boy started to make fun of her. Some girls in her class took some photos of her crying and started sending them to other children. But there was one boy who thought that it was not funny. He called his mother and told Emma to talk about it Emma told her parents and her parent went to the office to talk to the principal. The principal talked to the childrens they Emma felt ok.

24th August Tuesday 2010

Sa Bula Vi Naka everyone. Today’s the 24th August Tuesday 2010. Today’s weather was just fine it was a nice sunny day. Again I am not going to tell you about my day I am going to tell you about cybersafty.
To day in cybersafty I am going to talk about what can happen if we download things that sometimes comes with the junk mail. Sometimes when you open your e-mail there will be lots of things that might tell you to download it for example: lose 20kg in 5 days. You’ve won millions of dollars. So don’t download them cause they can be really dangerous.
By dangerous I mean if there’s something in the e-mail that tells something like one of the example, and it says downlaod, if you click download it is going to ask you for you credit card number and some of your personal details, if you gave them that they can then use your money and can set virus to your computer so don’t download junk e-mail.

My Ambition Residence

Do you want a house of your dream? Everyone in the world needs a house and I am one of them. I want a simple and a beautiful house for me and my family and I am going to tell you how my aspiration house looks like. Ambition Residence

There are four people in my family. My father my mother my 6 year old sister and me. My family is pretty small so that’s why I don’t need a really big house. I want a simple and beautiful house. The colour of my house must be brown; it must have four bedrooms, two bathrooms, one living room, two kitchens, and two garages. To make my house more beautiful I want lots of flowers, plants, and gardens outside my house.

I don’t want my house to be located in a busy area; I want my house to be located somewhere peaceful like Hamilton. I want my house to be located somewhere where my parents’ job is near, where the town and the hospital is near too. I also want my house to be located in a simple area so the visitors can find it easily.

I want this house so my family can live in a peaceful, safe place and can be happy.

Landform

The earth’s made up with four layers, the crust, the mantle, the inner core and the outer core.

There are millions of mountains and hills in the world. Some mountains were already on the earth surface, but there are some mountains that were formed by the tectonic- plates. The tectonic- plates tell us where the volcanoes are and which mountains were formed by tectonic-plates and that in which country they were in. The mountains form when you tectonic-plates rub together. Mostly all the disaster that happens on the crust for example volcanoes happens because of the Mantle and the core.

The mantle and the core are the cause of what happens on the crust. Because the core is very hot the rocks and the stones melt and becomes magma, the magma then rises up though the mantle and up on the crust and comes out as lava that’s what we call volcanoes and tha5t’s how volcanoes erupt.

Millions of years ago the earth was very different form the earth we see now. All the countries and islands we see now didn’t use to be like that. All the countries and island we see now like India, and Russia and all the countries use to all crash together like one big island. Because of the volcanoes and earthquakes all the countries and islands spread out and became the world we know now. In the future we think that the world we see will not be the same.

My Rock

There are lots of different types of stones and rocks and every stone has a story or belongs to a stone family. I am going to tell you about the stone I found and how it looks like, how it feels like, where it can be found, and what can we use them for.

How Does It Look Like?
When you find a stone you will see that a stone doesn’t have only one colour it has the maximum of 3 colours. The most common coloured stone is coloured Grey, Black, and White.

There are many stones in the world that are shaped differently. Some have rounded shaped, and some have pointy edges. The one I found doesn’t have pointy edges, it’s a bit rounded and in the shape of an oval.

Where Can It Be Found?
There are many kinds of rocks in the world. The one I found looks like it was from rivers, lakes, or from the oceans. Some stones you can tell that they were from a river or from a lake because the colour of the stones will be dark.

What Can Stones Be Used For?
Stones are very strong. People use them for making houses, building, roads, and other strong things. There is an island call Palm Island in India, it is shaped like a palm tree. The people made the island because they thought that if there was a problem they can go to the island to survive. They built 20 hotels and made a new city in the sea, people are still living on the island. They used billions of stones and rocks to keep the island strong.

Rocks and Stones are very special, they really help us.

My Room, My Castle

There are many people in the world who wants to change things in their bedroom, and I am one them.

My bedroom is a very peaceful, simple, and wonderful room, my room is peaceful because we don’t have that much people in our family and because I have a very peaceful family. The wallpaper in my bedroom is very simple too, so I would like the wallpaper to become a bit more interesting.

In my room I have one computer and all of my family needs to use it, so I would like to have two more computers and a computer side in my bedroom so all my family can use it.

My house is small and there are four people living in it, my room is like the same too. In my bedroom there are two people who sleep in the bed, my sister and I, so the next thing I want is a bigger bed so my sister and I can fit on it.

Our house is a very peaceful and wonderful house we call it our heaven and I would like our heaven to become a very useful place to live in.

What would I do if I saw a Twister

If I see a twister coming the best thing to do is pack as much food as you can. A twister is one of the most dangerous things in the world. You might know a twister as tornadoes. A Tornado might look as if it is just a wind but it can really cause big problems. Even the strongest building can be crashed by a Tornado. So if you see a Tornado coming your way the best thing to do is pack some batteries and some warm clothes. Tornadoes do come in different sizes, sometimes they are small. If there is a small Tornado the best place to hide is the bathroom or under a table.

Class Rules

I am going to tell you why we should have rules and how it can affect our lives.

The first rules I am going to talk about is respect. Showing respect is a good way to communicate with people. If you show respect to others they will respect you. Showing respect means not teasing others, don’t speak when someone is speaking, letting others have a chance to talk and never making fun of anyone.

Now I am going to tell you why we shouldn’t interrupt other people’s learning. By disturbing others it means that you are not letting them learn. Now I am going to tell you how it can affect other people’s lives, and when they get older and go to find a job they might not get it. This is because they might have not learnt or concentrated in school. By chatting to others disturbing people might look cool but it can really upset people. I don’t think wandering around and chatting to people will make anyone’s lives better.

Being respectful means you are making people welcome and making them feel safe. Do not interrupt other people because if you do that it will make you an unpopular student.

Indian Gods

Lord Shiva lord Vishnu lord Brahma
H
i, my name is Dipshika Anmol Narayan. I am going to tell you about the Indian gods, and some incredible things about them
In Indian culture, there are 33,000,000 million gods, but the most important gods are lord Vishnu, Lord Brahma and lord Shiva. The word god, g, o, d, stands of something, G stands for generator, O stands for operator and D stands for destroyer.
Brahma is the generator because he created the 4 quarters of earth like the moon, the sun, the ocean, and each and everything that is not manmade.
Vishnu is the operator, Hindus believe that lord Vishnu visit the earth time to time to save it from danger. Each time he takes a different form. These are Matsya the fish, Kurma, the tortoise, Narsingh the man-lion, Vamana the boar, Lord Ram the ideal king, Lord Krishna the cowherd boy, Lord Buddha the teacher and Kalki the rider on a white horse who is still to appear on earth. Lord Vishnu takes forms so he can save his devotees form danger.
Lord Shiva is the destroyer. Whenever there are too many crimes and sins on earth Lord Shiva opens his third eye and destroys the earth to be made again by Lord Brahma.
There are Indians all around the world. We Indians believe that every culture are the same and that we should all respect them.

Conferences

About our class blog, and what we do with it. Parent conference and how we organise it.

At St Andrews each and every student has a blog, in the blog we do all kind of things, like homework, maths goals, writing goals, and all the special things we do in school, we put the picture or some detail about it on our class blog or on our own blog. Form the blog even our parents can look at what we are doing at school form home or form anywhere around the world. Other countries can visit our class blog or our own one to see how is the learning in New Zealand.

Parent’s conference, now I am going to tell you about why we do parents conferences and how we organise it. We do parent’s conferences so our parent’s can talk to our teacher about our studies, and how we are going with it, and what do we need to achieve. We even have to show our parent’s our blog and all the things that we did in school, like art or all the things we did in technology and we tell them all the things about our school that they don’t know.

We have blogs so we can learn more about computers and it’s a good way to watch up work at home. We have parent conferences so our parent’s can see what we do at school.

How Is Learning Structure In Room 5

How Is Learning Structured In
Room 5
The structure of room 5. The average day of the school and the room 5.
Rules-there are rules in school and classes. Rules are to keep us safe. In St Andrews, the most important rule is to wear proper uniform. If we don’t wear proper uniform we get detention, that is one of the rules.

Behavior-Behavior is one of the important things too. Behavior, if we don’t behave, we get detention, or if our behavior is very bad, like swearing, not showing respect, hitting others we can be stood down.

Blocks-in an average day of St Andrews we have four blocks. In those four blocks classes do their learning like, Math, reading, writing, art or play a game ,or do things that their teachers gives them. Now I am going to tell you the average day of room 5. In room 5 the first thing we do is maths; in the second block we do reading, in the third block we do either art or writing, and in the last block we do activity or play a game.

How To Play Touch Rugby

How to play touch

The basic rules of touch and what is touch

In touch when you are starting what is touch about? Touch is like rugby, but instead of tackle you have to touch the opposite team players. Touch is a great game and well known to world.

What teams must have
Touch rules are similar from tackle rugby. In touch there must be up to 12 players, and six players are allowed on the field at any given time.

First rule for touch
In touch you have six touches to get to the try line. If you have done your six touches, and didn’t make a try, you have to give the ball to the opposite team.

Second rules for touch
The game, you have to be ten meters back from the opposite team, even when you have touch someone you have to go five meters back from the team, not only one person but the whole team has to go back five meters. If you didn’t go back five meters that means you’re offside and the ball can be passed to the other team.

Touch is a very good game, you can play touch for fitness or you can play in a team
